Bilateral Relations

Estonia’s, like the entire European Union’s, political relations with Russian Federation have been restricted since 2014 due to Russia’s aggression in Ukraine and the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol. Bilateral contact between Estonia and the Russian Federation through diplomatic channels and at the technical level between officials and experts is mainly focused on resolving practical issues.
